Teemu Rautio

Attorney, estate planning and elder law

Teemu writes wills and trusts, settles estates and handles guardianships for families from Two Harbors to Cloquet.

Teemu grew up in Cloquet, the son of a paper-mill worker and a school nurse. After law school he came back north and chose a practice that keeps him close to the families he grew up with.

He works alone, with one legal assistant, and keeps it that way on purpose: the lawyer you meet is the lawyer who drafts your plan and stands with you in court.

Why three offices

Many of Teemu’s clients are in their seventies and eighties. A forty-minute drive into Duluth in January is a real reason to put off a will.

So the practice goes to them. Two Fridays a month in Two Harbors, two Wednesdays in Cloquet, and home visits for anyone who can’t make it to either.

The phone number, the calendar and the files are the same everywhere. Start in one office and finish in another if that’s easier.
