How it works, from the first call to signed papers
The same five steps at every office, whether you’re planning your own estate or helping a parent.
- 01
Step 1: Call or write
Tell us a little about what you need and which office suits you. We’ll book a first meeting, usually within two weeks.
- 02
Step 2: An hour of listening
An hour to listen and ask questions. Bring a parent or a sibling if they’re part of it. There’s no charge for this meeting.
- 03
Step 3: A quote in writing
Within a few days you get a letter that says what we’ll do, what it costs, and what we need from you.
- 04
Step 4: Drafts in plain words
We mail or email the drafts in plain language, then go through them with you by phone or in person.
- 05
Step 5: Signing, with witnesses
You sign at the office, at home or in care, with witnesses and a notary. We keep the originals safe and send you copies.
Bringing family to the first meeting
Can my children come to my meeting?
Yes. We will also ask for a few minutes alone with you, so we know the plan is what you want.
What if my parent can’t travel?
Teemu meets clients at home, in the hospital or in a care facility in St. Louis, Lake and Carlton counties.
Do you meet by video?
For later meetings, yes, if that’s easier. Most people like the first meeting and the signing in person.
Take the first step with one call
There’s no charge for it, and nothing to bring but your questions.
